Up and coming Raleigh, North Carolina native FlyBoi Rell is destined to blow up
Raleigh, North Carolina’s FlyBoi Rell has been steadily dropping heat for a while now, and his recent relocation to Brooklyn has only increased his motivation and given him the inspiration to improve his game even more. Rell is currently working on his latest project Okami, which is also the name of an anime he is in the process of creating.
The MC, who started making music in 2016 while in college, has had a quiet last couple of years compared to 2019 and 2020, when he dropped his projects W.O.L.F. (Winners Over Losers Forever) and Glow Season II: Vault Collection respectively, but that doesn’t mean you should count him out.
FlyBoi Rell’s most recent single “Luck” featuring Woodah is a standout track from his discography that needs to be in your rotation. The track was produced by nthelabproductions and T. Wavs, the latter of whom is Rell’s older brother, and was inspired by his move to New York. It sums up his experiences in the Big Apple thus far and also marks yet another collaboration between him and the group n0mads.
“The inspiration behind this song is a culmination of events that have happened to [me] since the formation of the group,” said FlyBoi Rell. “Since I moved to Brooklyn, I have felt a sense of ‘luck’ [since I made it] through the turmoil where I was at before.”
The sense of luck that he feels he’s found is only going to grow as he releases more music, and it’s only a matter of time before you see FlyBoi Rell at the top of the charts with the biggest names in hip hop. You simply have to tune in to the next hottest North Carolina MC.
