Auckland, NZ native, Sabreen Islam is fascinating on her latest single, “you will never see this.” The track was written by Sabreen, and co-produced by Sophie Bialostocki. It is the first single from her upcoming EP room service, which will be released later this year. “you will never see this” is inspired by the likes of Conan Gray, Phoebe Bridgers and Maisie Peters.

Sabreen wrote this song alone in her room at 1 am, thinking about someone she used to know and wondering what they’re up to now. “There’s a curiosity that we feel about people we used to know and that stems from how much we miss them, even if we don’t want to admit it” beautifully said by Sabreen and I couldn’t agree more. The song is about the complicated feelings we have for people who are gone, and how they continue to shape us even if both parties have moved on.

More music from the EP will be released throughout the rest of the year. Sabreen also just released a poetry collection called “spring clean” on July 15, which is available everywhere now. I was truly compelled by this track, you can sense Sabreen raw emotion in her tone, I love it. She is an indie queen already. I’m excited to see what more is to come from this ethereal talent. Check out “you wil never see this” below.
